InterCure Continues Retail Momentum Through New Wholesale Distribution
RESPeRATE Successfully Penetrating the Independent Pharmacy and Durable Medical Equipment MarketNEW YORK, Oct. 15 -- (Healthcare Sales & Marketing Network) -- InterCure Ltd., a medical device company publicly traded on the Tel-Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE: INCR), today announced continued success and momentum distributing RESPeRATE -- the only medical device cleared by the FDA and CE-approved for the treatment of hypertension -- through wholesalers to the independent pharmacy and durable medical equipment market. Having proven a scalable and profitable business model in this channel, the Company is rapidly expanding via leading wholesalers.
Driven by an effective print ad campaign, InterCure has successfully grown its independent pharmacy distribution through Mashco, one of the largest pharmacy distributors in the UK. This year, RESPeRATE sales through individual London pharmacies supplied by Mashco have averaged almost two units per store per month.
InterCure is now replicating its regional independent pharmacy program in Scotland with a second UK wholesaler, Colorama Pharmaceuticals Ltd. Like its earlier UK efforts, the launch will leverage local print advertising, pharmacist education, and in-store patient information and demonstrations. Additional geographies within the UK are being evaluated for further expansion.
In the U.S., InterCure is now actively distributing through wholesaler H.D. Smith, the nation's largest privately-held national full-service wholesale distributor. InterCure and H.D. Smith are engaged in joint market development programs in the greater New York metro area that have, in the first month, resulted in more than a dozen independent pharmacies signed up to sell the RESPeRATE device. Expansion to additional geographies will commence as success is proven in the New York area.

InterCure will be using a similar approach to tap into the durable medical equipment (DME) channel in the U.S. The Company is now working with Invacare Supply Group, Inc., a Massachusetts corporation (http://www.invacaresupplygroup.com) that is a leading wholesale distributor of durable and consumable medical products, to approach their 20,000 customers through an integrated marketing program including catalog ads, circulars, plus direct mail, email and fax campaigns.
